Description

This small batch, natural shampoo bar is made using only coconut, olive and castor oils for a gentle cleanse and plenty of shine. It has oils left over from the saponification process as well as beer, oat milk and malt extract to ensure your hair is left soft, silky and lustrous after washing. The bergamot, fennel seed and rosemary essential oils are also beneficial for both scalp and hair health.

The malt and hops in beer is rich in proteins that help repair damaged hair and revive volume. As well, the sucrose and maltose sugars in beer help create lots of really great suds and plenty of shine. (Please note: the alcohol is boiled off the beer prior to making the shampoo bar, as alcohol interferes with saponification and can also be drying to hair and skin).

So if you’re struggling to get the men in your life to switch to a shampoo bar, this could be the perfect one for them! . . . but don’t leave it just for the men – I think it might be my new favourite! It is perfect followed up with my conditioner bar and/or a vinegar rinse (see below).

Each 100g bar is made with: coconut, olive and castor oils, beer, oat milk, sodium hydroxide*, bergamot, rosemary & fennel seed essential oils, malt extract & love. No nasties, just the good stuff.

* None remains in final product

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:
As with all shampoo bars (hair soap), a diluted vinegar rinse (approx 1 part vinegar : 5 parts water, or as desired) after washing is recommended to restore the pH of the hair to neutral. Alternatively, my conditioner bar can also be used (with or without the vinegar rinse).

If you haven’t used a shampoo bar before, it may take a few washes to remove the chemical build up from commercial shampoos, but don’t give up – your hair (and the environment) will thank you for making the change.

STORAGE:
To store handmade soap before using, please ensure you keep it somewhere dry. While using please store on a well drained soap dish or shelf away from the stream of water, and allow it to dry out between uses for maximum longevity. Ask for a free pumice stone at checkout, they make a perfect soap stand.

Please note: All soaps are handmade and cut in small batches so variations will occur in appearance, however each bar still contains all the fantastic ingredients listed. I am not making any medical claims regarding this product.
