This laundry/ dish soap is super hard, lemony scented and has a big job to do . . . but boy does it hit the mark! Unlike my other natural soaps, this one is intended for cleaning laundry or dishes only. It has no extra oils or fats in it, making it perfectly suited for cleaning tough stains on clothes, kitchen utensils , carpet and furnishings, rather than using on your skin. Smelling fabulously lemony it will not only clean like a star, but also smells fresh and clean to boot!
Simply wet the stain and the soap, rub the soap on the stain and let sit, or simply place in washing machine with load to be washed. You can also use the bars for hand washing making them perfect for while travelling! It can also be used to remove stains on carpet / furnishings the same way (except without the washing machine!).
IN THE KITCHEN:
Either hold under the tap when filling the sink, use in a soap shaker, or simply wipe your cleaning/dish cloth or scrubber over the soap, then clean your dishes or bench etc. Also great for cleaning all kitchen surfaces. Since I ran out of detergent, I’m using this in the kitchen and love it!
AS LAUNDRY POWDER:
This laundry soap can also be grated up and mixed with washing soda (also known as soda ash or sodium carbonate) to be used as a laundry detergent instead of store bought powders. Simply grate up a bar, mix with 4 cups of washing soda, blitz in food processor until it resembles a fine crumb. Store in an airtight container e.g. repurpose a jar or other container. Use approx. 1 tblsp per load or 2 if really grubby. This mix is also great as a toilet cleaner, scrubbing out bath or shower, or anywhere else you need a slightly abrasive cleaner. You can buy laundry powder ready made in a separate listing (with some extra ingredients) here.
Coconut oil, water, sodium hydroxide*, eucalyptus, lemongrass & peppermint essential oils & love. No nasties, just the good stuff
*None remains in final product.
(I do not recommend using this as hand soap, as there is no residual oils left in the soap and it will be very harsh on your skin).
Before use – To store handmade soap before using, please ensure you keep them somewhere dry and dark, away from humidity (not in the bathroom, instead store in linen cupboard, closet or drawers).
While in use – For maximum longevity while using, please store on a well drained soap dish or shelf and allow to dry out between uses. Ask for a free pumice at check out to use as a soap stand.
Please note: All my soap are handcrafted and cut in small batches so variations will occur in appearance, however each bar still contains all the fantastic ingredients listed. I am not making any medical claims regarding this product.
